Hello, Everyone!
Welcome back to our Seoul adventure! In Part 2, we explored the Coex Starfield, also known as the Coex Library, and the vibrant Hongdae neighborhood. Let’s dive into what’s going on next!
Shopping with Mama Choi
Meeting Abbie has been such a pleasure for my family. My mom is looking forward to spending some quality time with Abbie and me, especially taking her shopping. When we arrived at Shinsegae Central City, Abbie was amazed by how different the mall looks compared to those in the States.
Even though it was a weekday, the mall was still packed with people, which made the experience even more lively and exciting!
While exploring the dessert floor in the basement of Shinsegae, Abbie and I were amazed by the incredible variety of desserts available. There were so many tempting options that it was hard to decide what to try! And to our surprise, we also found a Five Guys burger joint there. It was quite the treat!
Visiting Highest Building in Korea!
Lotte World Tower is the tallest building in Korea, and it’s located in Seoul. I used to live just 10-15 minutes away from the tower, so it was a perfect date idea for Abbie and me since she loves heights!
To visit the top of Lotte World Tower, you need to go to a place called ‘Seoul Sky,’ which is located on the lower floors of the tower. We decided to visit both Lotte Aquarium and Seoul Sky because I had a Lotte gift card and there were some promotional events when we went.
Just a heads-up: Seoul Sky can be a bit pricey, but not many people know that they offer various discounts and promotions. I highly recommend checking their website for deals before you go. I’ll include some links for you to find more information!

Before heading to the top of Lotte World Tower, we want to visit the aquarium on the same floor. It’s a great opportunity for us to enjoy both the tower and the aquarium. We recently visited Coex Aquarium and loved seeing so many animals. Having another chance to visit an aquarium is exciting for us.
Lotte World Aquarium is quite new compared to Coex, and it looks nice and neat. We’re especially looking forward to seeing the penguins! I personally enjoyed watching how happy Abbie was while we were at the aquarium.
Abbie was thrilled by the aquarium and even more excited to be in the tallest building in Korea. She loves heights as they remind her of how small her problems are and how wonderful God’s creation is.
Taking a special elevator to the top of the building, we were surprised by how fast it moved as we reached the 123rd floor. Abbie was a bit scared by the speed, and her ears kept popping. However, the breathtaking view of Seoul from the highest building in Korea left us in awe of the immaculate landscape. I was thrilled to see Abbie’s excitement at being on the highest building in Korea and realized how small everyday problems seem from such a lofty vantage point.
Going to Dog Cafe!
Abbie have been deisre to visit dog cafe befre she come to Korea. In the states, she cannot easily find Dog cafe she can drink coffee and hang out with dogs.
Dog cafe was pretty close to Lotte World Tower, which only takes 20mins! Hanging out with Dog family in the cafe was a new experience for Me and Abbie. Once we get there, Golden Retriver Dog family were welcoming with happy smile it makes both of us smile while we are being in the cafe.
It was so refreshing for Abbie and me to get a break from the hot summer in Korea. We had a great time hanging out with a Golden Retriever family, which was a lot of fun. Most of all, I was really happy to see Abbie smiling.
