Hello Everyone, and welcome back to our journey! If you’re here for the first time, be sure to check out the link at the bottom for my previous blog about our trip. In Part 4, we had an amazing time at Lotte World, enjoying fun activities as a couple. Let’s dive into what we experienced there!
going to Lotte World
Lotte World is one of the most popular amusement parks in Korea, located in Jamsil, Seoul—only a 10-minute car ride from my house and right next to Lotte World Tower! We woke up early to get Magic Pass tickets, which are limited and can be purchased via the app or in person before the park opens. I know Abbie doesn’t like hot weather or waiting in long lines for rides, so I was determined to get the tickets for her sake. I was worried I might not be able to buy them since it’s vacation season, but thankfully, I managed to get them!
After an hour of waiting, we finally entered the park. We noticed many families visiting Lotte World for summer vacation, trying to escape the hot and humid weather. Abbie was shocked to see so many students and children rushing to get on a ride called “Atlantis.” As soon as the park opened, we realized there were massive lines forming for all the attractions.
We discovered that the popular ride, “Atlantis,” had a huge line, so we decided to skip it and try the “Comet Express” instead. This ride is quite similar to Space Mountain at Disney World.
Abbie and I were thrilled by the experience! The ride was fast and spun us around, which was such a refreshing escape from the hot, sweaty summer weather. Honestly, Abbie screamed with joy the whole time, and her excitement made me really happy too!\
After the Comet Express, we headed over to a water ride to cool off. The splashes and the thrill were just what we needed on such a hot day. We even decided to brave the line for “Atlantis” after all, and it was totally worth it! The twists and turns were exhilarating.
In between rides, we indulged in some delicious ice cream, which was the perfect treat to beat the heat.
We also tried various tasty foods throughout the park, making for a fantastic day filled with adventure, laughter, and delicious treats. Overall, we managed to ride many attractions in Lotte World, making it an unforgettable experience!
On our way back, we decided to enjoy some delicious Korean pork called dae-pae samgyeopsal. This dish features thick slices of pork belly that are grilled right at the table, making it a fun and interactive meal.
As the pork sizzled, we dipped it into a mix of sesame oil, salt, and pepper. It was served with fresh vegetables like lettuce and garlic, which we used to wrap the grilled meat along with some tasty condiments. We also paired it with kimchi and a cold drink. It was the perfect way to end our fun-filled day at Lotte World!
