Lunch with my cousins in Garden 5

These past couple of days had been so hectic and draining that we were all in desperate need of a chill day to recharge. As luck would have it, I realized that the very same day happened to be my cousin’s birthday, so we decided to make the best of it and spend the day together. We met up in Garden 5, Seoul, which turned out to be the perfect spot for unwinding.

The tranquil ambiance of the place—surrounded by greenery, natural light, and peaceful nooks—made it the ideal escape from the chaos of the past few days. We wandered through the spacious garden, grabbed some delicious food from the cafes there, and just enjoyed each other’s company, chatting and laughing without any rush or pressure.

It was the kind of day we needed: relaxed, low-key, and full of good vibes to celebrate my cousin’s special day while also recharging our batteries.

Bukchon Hanok Village

After having a lunch with my cousin, we striaght headed to Bukchon Hanok Village. Suprisingly, it only takes around 45mins in subway, Abbie and I were amazed by Seoul Transportation. Bukchon Hanok Vilage is known for Hanok, which is Korean traditional House, the village bring many tourist to wonder around. Abbie and I notice many tourist were visisted here to see Hanok even in summer.

What really surprised me was seeing people renting hanbok—Korean traditional dress—to wear as they walked around the village.

It was a bit of a culture shock for me at first, but it made me happy to see so many people embracing Korean culture. Many tourists seemed to really enjoy participating in the tradition by wearing hanbok, taking photos, and capturing memories with their friends and family.

A Night City Tour

Abbie and I booked the Seoul Night City Tour, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. The tour bus took us on a scenic route through some of Seoul’s most famous landmarks, offering stunning views of the city lit up at night.

After spending the day walking around Seoul in the summer heat, we were both exhausted and in desperate need of a break. The tour bus was the perfect solution, allowing us to relax while still experiencing the beauty of the city. It was such a relief to sit back and enjoy the views, especially as we visited some of Seoul’s most iconic spots, including Namsan Seoul Tower and the Han River.
