Hello, everyone! Are you all still keeping up with Squid Game 2? I’ve honestly been binge-watching this season, and I can’t wait for season 3! As I mentioned in my previous post, “Why Was Player 388 So Scared?,” I’m about to spoil some of the story from Squid Game 2. So, if you haven’t watched the show yet, make sure you do before reading this post! Also, if you want to read my previous post about Squid Game 2, here it is.
Player 246 wasn’t as significant a character in the show compared to Ki-Hoon, but the show does give us a glimpse into his life, especially through his daughter and Soldier 11. We see how desperate he is to get money for his daughter’s cancer treatment.

Soldier 11 also has a daughter from North Korea, whom she can’t physically see and doesn’t know if she’s okay. I believe Soldier 11 feels deep empathy for Player 246, seeing how much he cares about his daughter through his actions, especially while working at the same amusement park.
In the show, one of the soldiers was shooting at Player 246, but it wasn’t clear if they were trying to kill him. I believe it was Soldier 11 who was shooting at him, possibly to help him. The director has made it clear how much his daughter means to him, and she understands the heartbreaking struggle of not being able to save or support her own child. I think this storyline will be a key element in season 3, showing why she decides to save him and how he will survive the deadly combat, where every other participant is destined to die.

This adds an intriguing layer to the narrative, as we watch how the characters’ personal struggles and motivations unfold in the next season
